I am teaching myself guitar..and this is where I am at one year into my journey…I have no desire to be a virtuoso just want to be able to accompany myself when I sing…always knew I could sing just never did anything about it till now.

July 4th 2007 my friend Mike gave me a guitar and told me to teach myself as it woud help with my singing. So I played for 3 days and found it to be to frustrating that I decided I was done with it. I went to sleep only to be awoken by my own tears in the early morning hours from a dream I had of my dog Hunter who had recently passed unexpectedly. As I came to from this dream where I had been trying to get to my dog (who had communicated that he was fine) as if running in slow motion or sand I could hear this tune in my head. I picked up that old guitar and the melody I could hear in my head came to life and out poured the lyrics. This song was writen in about 30 seconds and my first song was born. Never Said Goodbye.
