U2-In Gods Country

I found another amazing guitar player on youtube who makes music with no vocals. This song is one of my all time favorites back from my summer before college (1987) and with U2 coming to town in just 3 days I had to record a vocal on this track. Gear Used: Les Paul Custom, Axess BS-2, SD-1, TC 2290, AC-30 I recorded this audio quite awhile ago, so I decided I’ll add a video to it to make it complete. Sorry, but I can’t exactly remember the delay time. It’s somewhere in the 200s ms I believe. Backing track comes from the ‘Play Guitar With U2′ series. I used Pro Tools to record the audio and I added some reverb, EQ and compression to clean it up.

As always this is a live recording…I took Ralqhs track and piped into one laptop and into my Mbox mini into another laptop into ProTools LE which I then recorded my vocal x2 cause it sounded hallow and dead on his track with only 1. There are no effects the doubledvocals give it a chorus like effect or round full sound with a hint of reverb…In a perfect world I would only like the one track on here but it just sounded empty…Thats the problem with my cheap mic and recording on lame equipment. Good as it gets for now. Enjoy.
